Kopete Report (PDF 357KB)
Executive Summary:

In this short usability test of the Kopete setup and first steps, potential users had to set up and configure either an ICQ or a Jabber account.

We tested three users, one adrium (MacOSX) user, and two gaim (gnome) users. All of them were very experienced, both regarding IM and general computer experience (two developers, one designer).

NOTE: As the number of tested users is very low, these results should be taken as *indicators* for possible usage problems only!

Success story:

In the usability test, a number of bugs was found that suggested to first have them fixed before doing further usability work. Still, and in accordance with the tests, Kopete's History function was revised and improved.
